Making California’s Presidential Primary Count

(Sacramento) – Assembly Speaker pro Tem Kevin Mullin’s (D-San Mateo) is looking to add some clout to the California’s presidential primary. Assemblymember Mullin’s Assembly Bill 84 would move the California presidential primary election to Super Tuesday in 2020. ““Moving California’s primary election to “Super Tuesday,” in presidential election years would give voters a prominent voice at a time when candidates are experiencing their first test of national strength and viability,” Assemblymember Mullin said the Senate Elections Committee when he presented them with AB 84.  Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
