(Sacramento) - The California Assembly congratulates Chief Clerk and Parliamentarian E. Dotson Wilson on his retirement. The first African American to serve in this capacity in the country, Wilson is also the longest serving person in this position in California history. Roughly 4,000 Californians have answered the call to serve in the California Assembly, and Wilson has personally worked with nearly 500 of them.
