(Sacramento) – During a recent Assembly floor session Assembly Speaker Pro Tem Kevin Mullin (D-San Mateo) presented his measure to create a single license for child care centers serving children from birth to entering the first grade. “California originally created this dual-license structure in an attempt to protect children and for that reason, Assembly Bill 605 requires that we maintain the highest safety standards, while simplifying the system and allowing for flexibility in the best interest of the children,” Assemblymember Mullin said.
